Trivia

Ahead of the recording of the score, John Williams invited Gustavo Dudamel, the Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Simón Bolivar Youth Orchestra in Venezuela, to conduct the Main Title and End Credits. Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic had presented a tribute to John Williams, at the start of their 2015-2016 season in their home venue of the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The Dudamel "takes", reportedly, are the ones used in the film. According to Dudamel in a Facebook post, his appearance at the sessions took everybody by surprise, including Disney and the sessions musicians, as Williams had only told George Lucas. See more »

Goofs

When Kylo Ren and Han Solo meet on the bridge in Solo's final scene, they both stop directly next to a red bridge light. As the shots change throughout the scene, Ren is shown standing even with the red light, behind the red light, and in front of the red light. Solo's position in relation to the red light near him changes several times as well. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Lor San Tekka: This will begin to make things right. I've traveled too far and seen too much to ignore the despair in the galaxy. Without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force.
Poe Dameron: Well, because of you, now we have a chance. The General's been after this for a long time.
Lor San Tekka: Oh, the General? To me, she is royalty.
Poe Dameron: Well, she certainly is that.

**SPOILER ALERT**

Wow, this movie was an identical to is predecessors... nothing new here Check list:

  • Young Jedi on a desert plant - Check!

  • Death star - Check!

  • Resistance pilot flying through the tunnel to destroy the death star - Check!

  • Crappy robot with secret message - Check!

  • Han Solo - Check!

  • Evil dude covered with black mask - Check!

But what really annoys me, is that a young Jedi who 30 minutes ago thought that The Force is a myth and Luke is a legend learned how to use the force in 1 day and defeats the evil masked guy who is training in the force his entire life....
