‘The Bachelor’ Creator Mike Fleiss Accused of Attacking Wife
The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” creator Mike Fleiss has been accused of attacking his wife Laura Fleiss at their home in Hawaii on July 4, according to documents obtained by Variety.

The documents show that Laura Fleiss, who is currently pregnant, filed for an emergency domestic violence restraining order against her husband after he allegedly attacked her and “demanded” she have an abortion.

“While we were at our house in Kauai, Mike demanded that I get an abortion,” Laura Fleiss says in the document. “Our son Ben was in the house, seated in another room nearby. Mike told me, ‘If you have an abortion, then we can just go back to the way we were.'”

In her statement, Laura Fleiss alleges that on July 6 Fleiss “grabbed (her) body” and “forcibly pinned (her) up against the wall.,” before yelling at her and threatening to “punch her in the face.” Later on,

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Breaks Her Own Record For Most Nominations in Lead Comedy Actress Category
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has broken her own Emmys record for most nominations in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category, with her nomination for “Veep.”

Louis-Dreyfus has scored 11 wins over a 27-year period. She’s won eight times in acting categories, seven times for lead actress in a comedy and once for supporting actress in a comedy.

Louis-Dreyfus most recently won the lead actress in a comedy category for “Veep” in 2017. Her first win in the category came in 2006 for “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”

Previously, she was best known for her portrayal of Elaine on “Seinfeld.” She was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “Seinfeld” seven times — every year from 1992-1998 — but won the category only once, in 1996.

Stephen Verona, Writer/Director of ‘The Lords of Flatbush,’ Dies at 78
Stephen Verona, producer, co-writer and co-director of “The Lords of Flatbush,” died from lung cancer this past weekend in Los Angeles. He was 78.

Released in 1974, “The Lords of Flatbush” follows four Brooklyn greasers in 1958 as they steal cars and pick up girls even as the looming specter of adulthood nears. The film helped launch the careers of Sylvester Stallone and Henry Winkler, who played two members of the gang prior to their big breaks in “Rocky” and “Happy Days.”

Stephen Verona, 'Lords of Flatbush' Writer, Director and Producer, Dies at 78
Stephen Verona, who co-wrote, co-directed and produced The Lords of Flatbush, the 1974 film that provided a career boost for young actors Sylvester Stallone and Henry Winkler, has died. He was 78.

Verona died Saturday at his home in Los Angeles after an 18-month battle with lung cancer, his wife, Ann, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Verona also co-wrote and directed Boardwalk (1979), a gloomy Coney Island-set drama that played at the Cannes Film Festival and starred veterans Ruth Gordon, Lee Strasberg and Janet Leigh
