Filthy Rich is produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Television and Fox Entertainment.

Reed Hastings on the Streamer Wars: ‘It’s a Whole New World Starting in November’

  • Variety
After dominating the subscription streaming scene for so long, Netflix is girding for a new phase in the Svod wars with the entry of more deep-pocketed players like Disney and Apple, CEO Reed Hastings said Friday.

“While we’ve been competing with many people in the last decade, it’s a whole new world starting in November…between Apple launching and Disney launching, and of course Amazon’s ramping up,” said Hastings, who also cited NBCUniversal’s coming Peacock service. “It’ll be tough competition. Direct-to-consumer [customers] will have a lot of choice.”

He said Netflix would continue to hew closely to its core strategy of offering content for binge viewing, the phenomenon it helped create. That means the service isn’t moving into live sports, as Amazon Prime Video has, and won’t experiment much with different release models, including for its expanding catalogue of original films. “They may have a qualifying run for theatrical,

Megyn Kelly Reacts to Charlize Theron's Portrayal in Upcoming Bombshell Movie

Megyn Kelly Reacts to Charlize Theron's Portrayal in Upcoming Bombshell Movie
As far as casting decisions go, Megyn Kelly should consider herself lucky that Charlize Theron is playing her in the movie, Bombshell. But the newscaster was cool as a cucumber when asked about the actress' latest role. In a video obtained by the Daily Mail, the former Fox News broadcaster says, "She seems smart, seems like a good mom, so I could do worse." However, with the release of the Bombshell trailer in August, it's hard to imagine anyone else taking on the role of Megyn. In the teaser, which is definitely a big tease, Charlize looks eerily similar to the currently unemployed TV personality. From her poised looks, to the way Megyn purses her lips, Charlize has mastered all...

‘Jennifer’s Body’ Turns 10: Megan Fox, Diablo Cody and Karyn Kusama Reflect on Making the Cult Classic
Months before “Jennifer’s Body” hit multiplexes on Sept. 18, 2009, writer Diablo Cody had a feeling the edgy horror-comedy would tank. And flop it did, despite the screenwriter taking home an Oscar for her debut film “Juno” a year earlier. Cody easily found a studio to finance “Jennifer’s Body” after the success of the Ellen Page-led teen pregnancy comedy, but the disappointing marketing strategy and pans from focus groups and critics seemed to be a sure recipe for box office collapse. Fast forward a decade, and now, the film is regarded as a cult classic.

“Jennifer’s Body” grossed a lackluster $31.6 million worldwide on a $16 million budget and was significantly beaten out by 2009 horror flicks “Paranormal Activity,” “Zombieland,” “The Final Destination” a remake of “Friday the 13th.” Megan Fox — who became a Hollywood sex symbol after her depiction of Mikaela Banes in the 2007 film “Transformers” — starred, and Cody said that because of her image,

‘Long Shot’ Blu-ray Review

  • Nerdly
Stars: Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron, June Diane Raphael, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ravi Patel, Bob Odenkirk, Andy Serkis, Randall Park, Tristan D. Lalla, Alexander Skarsgard | Written by Dan Sterling, Liz Hannah | Directed by Jonathan Levine

Long Shot is directed by Jonathan Levine and re-teams him with star Seth Rogen in what is their third outing together after their collaborations on 50/50 and The Night Before. Long Shot also offers both Levine and Rogen a chance to get out of a small rut of sorts with their respective careers coming off a rather poor box office return. Specifically, Levine’s last directorial effort Snatched bombing terribly and Rogen starring in bit parts on streaming platforms such as Arizona and Father Figure. Thankfully, Long Shot is genuinely one of the best romantic comedies I’ve had the pleasure to have seen in the last decade. Incredibly witty and heartfelt with two excellent leading

Mel Gibson Returns as Mad Max in Fury Road Deepfake Video
Mel Gibson takes over for Tom Hardy in a new Mad Max: Fury Road DeepFake video. However, it's actually Mel Gibson from around 25 years ago. The DeepFake craze continues as fans find ways to manipulate footage from different types of sources. Some are better than others and the new Fury Road video is actually pretty well done, even when compared to the recent DeepFakes of Bill Hader as Tom Cruise or Keanu Reeves in Sesame Street. Gibson first starred as "Mad" Max Rockatansky in George Miller's 1979 original, entitled Mad Max. While the movie was polarizing upon its release, it has gone on to become a classic.

While Tom Hardy did an excellent job in Fury Road, there are still some fans who can only see Mel Gibson in the role. This new DeepFake video, which is labeled part 1, is for those fans. In the video, Max Rockatansky is trying
